Special visitors from Taiwan

On September 23, 2022, at the Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies of the Warsaw University of Technology, we hosted a delegation of the scientific community of Taiwan and Taipei Representation Offices.


On behalf of the representatives of the Warsaw University of Technology, the delegation was welcomed by Professor Adam Woźniak, Vice-Rector for Development of the Warsaw University of Technology. CEZAMAT was represented during the meeting by Mariusz Wielec, CEZAMAT Director and Professor Romuald Beck, Head Agent for Strategic Projects and Piotr Wiśniewski, PhD. Eng., Head of the SEMINSYS Intelligent Semiconductor Systems Department.

Among the representatives of Taiwan were Ambassador Ming-Yen Tsai, Taipei Representative Office in the European Union and Belgium, Ambassador Bob Loong-Jin Chen, Taipei Representative Office in Poland, Director Connie Chang, National Development Council, Director Shih-Fan Lu, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Ministry of Finance, Chih-Chao Yang, Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute, Shyh-Shyuan Shew, Matthew Chao, Chia-Miao Liu and Yi-Chun Tsai, Institute of Industrial Technology, Professor Leo Yang from Tsing Hua State University, Professor Jui-Ning Liu, National Cheng Kung University and Professor Chao-Hsin Wu, National Taiwan University.

The representatives of Taiwan’s scientific community presented the best universities in their country, talked about the possibilities of international cooperation and presented the research offer and scientific achievements of their universities. The delegation participants were shown around the CEZAMAT laboratories and technical facilities, as well as familiarized themselves with the projects and technologies developed at the Warsaw University of Technology.
