Post-doc position in the field of electronic materials at the modern research center CEZAMAT at the leading technical university in Poland – the Warsaw University of Technology.
Responsibilities
- modeling of carbon nanotube synthesis reactions
- modeling using classical molecular dynamics
- modeling using DFTB methods
- training your own sets of potentials for the tight binding method
- data analysis
- preparation of min. 3 scientific publications and publication in journals from the first decile of CiteScore
- other tasks within the scope of duties, assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Master’s degree and PhD in physics, chemistry or related sciences
- knowledge about nanomaterials and their properties
- programming skills in Python
- experience in modeling using classical molecular dynamics
- knowledge of the DFTB method and the ability to train one’s own sets of potentials for the tight binding method
- fluency in English
- documented publication record (at least 3 publications as first author in Q1 journals)
- ability to work in a group (documented experience of cooperation with experimentalists will be a strong asset)
- willingness to develop new simulation competences
- knowledge of quantum ATK and ab initio methods is welcome
