On February 28, 2023 the First Working Session of NTMED Cluster was held at the Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies of the Warsaw University of Technology.

On this occasion, the cluster operating in the field of medical devices, pharmacy and biotechnology welcomed new members: Łukasiewicz Centre, University of Lodz, ALAB Laboratoria Spółka z o.o. and the Silesian Park of Medical Technologies KARDIO-MED Silesia Sp. z o.o. The Cluster Coordinator – Warsaw University of Technology was represented at the meeting by Mariusz Wielec, Director of CEZAMAT WUT, and the meeting was hosted by Aleksandra Mościcka–Studzińska – Deputy Director of CEZAMAT WUT.

 

 

The meeting was an opportunity for the partners of the NTMED cluster to exchange experiences, tighten cooperation and, above all, discuss new areas of cooperation between representatives of the sector creating innovations for medicine and pharmacy. The variety of partners of the Cluster of New Medical Technologies – NTMED gives the opportunity to support each other’s activities or create new ambitious projects in both the scientific and business areas. We really hope that soon we will be able to present the effects of our cooperation aimed at the development of the industry of innovative medicinal products and medical devices.

 

During the meeting, the Cluster Council was also elected by members’ vote. The following persons were appointed to the Council: Sanjeev Choudhary, prof. Sebastian Granica, Wojciech Komnata PhD, Krzysztof Kopeć, Remigiusz Kopoczek PhD, Adam Nowiński PhD, Karolina Rudnicka PhD, and Aleksandra Mościcka-Studzińska from the Cluster Coordinator.

We are glad that the cluster already connects 24 entities from the areas of medical devices, pharmacy and biotechnology. The cooperation of such strong units brings amazing opportunities to develop innovative solutions, all under the wings of the Center for Advanced Materials and Technology of the Warsaw University of Technology.
