Preparation of anisotropic gold nanoparticles in carbonate solvents.
The project aims to explore the preparation of anisotropic gold nanoparticles, with a defined architecture, during a one-step synthesis in solvents containing a carbonate system, where it acts as a solvent and simultaneously as a reductant of gold compounds. The study focuses on process parameters, like shape, size, diameter distribution, and stability in solution. The solution without additional substances allows better control over nanoparticle growth, ease of nanoparticle purification through centrifugation, and the possibility of scaling up the process, which is problematic in currently used methods
